The Circus Starring Britney Spears Tour Australia In November 2009American pop star Britney Spears is to perform in Australia next november 2009. This Britney's tour in Australia will be the first time in her career and titled "The Circus Starring Britney Spears" organized by Britney Spears in association with Dainty Consolidated Entertainment.

The show has a cast of 44 dancers, magicians, clowns and acrobats, and will tour Australia with 34 trucks carrying about 60 tonnes of equipment.

Spears, 27 year-old, will play six concerts in four cities and beginning in Perth on November 6 before wrapping up in Brisbane on November 24, the Britney Spears's website said. "I've wanted to tour Australia for quite some time and now it's finally happening," Spears said.

Tickets will go on sale on July 3 for shows in Perth on November 6, Melbourne on November 11 and 12, Sydney on November 19 and 20, and Brisbane on November 24. Cheapest seats are $99.90, with others priced at $149.90 and $199.90.

Until now Britney Spears become one of the top-selling artists of the last decade, and to date she has sold in excess of 63 million albums worldwide: ...Baby One More Time (1999); Oops!... I Did It Again (2000); Britney (2001); In The Zone (2003) and Blackout (2007).

Her current album Circus released on her birthday, December 2, 2008, debuted No. 1 in six countries including Canada, Switzerland, Mexico, Brazil, Japan, and Top 10 in an additional seven countries. Circus got underway in New Orleans in March, the singer's first major tour in five years.

Spears had been due to stage five concerts in Australia during her 2004 Onyx Hotel tour but cancelled after suffering a knee injury while shooting a video.

Spears, who suffered myriad personal problems following her 2006 divorce from ex-husband Kevin Federline, has rebuilt her career in recent months, enjoying chart-topping album success and largely positive concert reviews.
