Garuda pilots to strike for payment equality

Dozens of Garuda Indonesia pilot who joined the Garuda Pilot Association (APG), Thursday (28/7), actually fulfill their previous threat to fly strike. The fly strike carried out starting at 0:00 until 23:59 pm.

The fly strike action will take place as a demands to the management of Garuda Indonesia that been considered discriminatory. According to the APG pilots, foreign pilots working in Garuda Indonesia are paid much higher than the local pilots.

Although their pilots strike, a number of Garuda Indonesia flight at Soekarno Hatta Tangerang, Banten, still scheduled as usual. The first flight schedule today is at 0:45 pm to Makassar with flight number GA 640. Until now the activity in terminal 2F still running as usual. Soekarno Hatta Airport Officials said there were no signs of a Garuda flight cancellations.
