Quick Count Announcement of the 2009 Indonesian Election Results

Komisi Pemilihan Umum (KPU) or General Elections Commission stated respect the decision of the Supreme Court (MA), which fulfill the demands Denny JA and Umar S Bakry from Asosiasi Riset Opini Publik Indonesia (AROPI) or Indonesia Public Opinion Research Association. According to the KPU chairman Abdul Hafiz Anshary survey results announcement on the calm day and a quick count results on the D days does not disrupt the election votes.

But KPU seems want to set the time of the Quick Count. He explains the need to have the regulation because this is crucial. Hafidz describes the Quick Count will not determine the end results which will be calculated manually. Quick count according to him only a tools to get the election results more quickly with the size of the percentage. In case of differences between the manual and a quick count, we still have to use the manual one.
