YLKI Press Release: 10 Food Products Contain Poisonous Melamine Material

YLKI or Yayasan Lembaga Konsumen Indonesia (Indonesia Consumers Foundation), revealed that there are ten food & beverage products imported from China contain with a poisonous melamine material. On their Press release wednesday 04 march, 2009. The Head of the Foundation, Husna Zahir revealed that 10 of 28 products being tested, were contaminated with melamine.

Husna added that the foundation had bought the samples of the products that tested positive for melamine at several supermarkets in Pasar Baru, Cempaka Mas, Mangga Dua and Kelapa Gading. "We believe those areas are accessible for import products," Husna said, adding that most of those milk based products were imported from China.
"We did the laboratory test to satisfy public’s concern. This is an independent test to assure public that products in the markets are free from hazardous materials," Husna added.

2. Yake assorted Candies, tanpa nomor registrasi, produksi Fujian Yake Food, tak ada alamat importir, permen coklat panjang.
Melamin: 56,54 ppm

3. F&M, suku kental manis, registrasi ML 505417006156, importir Ikad-Jakarta.
Melamin: 45,09 ppm

4. Kembang gula Tirol Choco Mix, registrasi ML 237103407045, importir PT Indomaru Lestari, Kedaung Kali Angke, Cengkareng, Jakarta Barat.
melamin: 17, 18 ppm
