Megawati and Prabowo Move Forward As Pair For The Presidential Election

After the Declaration of Democrat Party states SBY and Budiono as president and vice president candidates for the upcoming presidential election, Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP) and Great Indonesia Movement Party (Gerindra) also officially declares candidacy of Megawati Soekarno Putri and Prabowo Subianto as their president and vice president candidates.

This pair officially declare a determination to move forward in the presidential election on July, Friday (15/5) midnight. "There has been agreement between the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP) and the Gerindra Party on this night," Pramono Anung said in Megawati's residence at Teuku Umar street, Central Jakarta.

Prabowo said in his speech that he feel honored could accompanying Megawati as a vice president. "Gerindra have a similarity of vision and mission with the PDI Perjuangan," Prabowo said.
