Google is making computer operating system to compete its rival Microsoft Windows. This operating system is designed to be lightweight and easy to use, suitable for a small laptop or netbook and fastly can connect and accessing the Internet.
This operating system, called Google Chrome Operating System, even Google Chrome OS designed for laptop or netbook but it will be perfectly applicable for uses in a bigger computer, which at this time most of users are using Microsoft Windows products such as Windows Vista and Windows XP.
Windows's newest product being launched is Vista series that are considered as too heavy for many computers. Now a lot of Vista users even choose to replace the program with the older version, Windows XP.
Instead, if compared to Windows Vista, Chrome is faster, saver and more concise. Sundar Pichai, Google vice president of product management, said in Official Google blog:
"Speed, simplicity and security are the key aspects of Google Chrome OS. We're designing the OS to be fast and lightweight, to start up and get you onto the web in a few seconds. The user interface is minimal to stay out of your way, and most of the user experience takes place on the web."
"And as we did for the Google Chrome browser, we are going back to the basics and completely redesigning the underlying security architecture of the OS so that users don't have to deal with viruses, malware and security updates. It should just work."
This operating system will be launched in this year from the Internet. Google Chrome OS is an open source, so that the programers and open source community from around the world can following Google to develop this program. Netbook Computers already planned to use this operating system, will be launched in the second half of 2010.
Google Chrome name previously used for Google products made for Internet explorer engine and was launched since last year.
Google will launches this newest operating system for free in hope that this can extend the use of the Internet. As more people use the Internet, the more often they click on the Google search engine and Google advertising programs can be develop as well.
