Desire of sons and daughters of the Cendana Family, Siti Hardijanti Rukmana (Mbak Tutut) and Hutomo Mandala Putra (Tommy Soeharto) to return to acting in the Golkar Party, was greeted with respect. Golkar is ready to welcome both of them warmly.
"We would be honored if they want to go back to Golkar," said Golkar Party chairman Priyo Budi Santoso to reporters at the Parliament Building, Jakarta, Friday (4/9/2009).
Priyo added, if he still looking at them as a respectable figure. Moreover, both are children of former president Soeharto, who had served as chairman of the board of supervisors of Golkar Party.
"We know they both are children of former Golkar's central figure, Soeharto. And we can not forget the role of foemer president Soeharto in building Golkar," explained Priyo. "Therefore in our eyes, they still are respected figures," he concluded.
